Collection of old laptops (from 1987 release)

Once (quite a long time ago) I told you about some of my laptops from the collection here. Pro Powerbook `s from Apple ( Powerbook G3 and Powerbook 3400c / 200 ) 1999 and 1997, about the laptop already gone into the history of the company Digital ( HiNote VP 1998 year), about the now thriving Acer ( AcerNote Light 370DX 1996 onwards) and Compaq ( Contura 4 \ 25, 1993.).

Now I’m writing a little on my website , not all the time, but I designed the collection on the new site-project of Artemy Lebedev Collectorus



The collection currently has 72 laptops.
I photographed everything from different sides, so that you could consider this or that specimen in more detail.

In the future, I plan on my website to make a 3D view of each collection of the collection, even many have already specially photographed, but when there will be time for this ... :)

I tried to run through the entire collection by firms, years and country of production.

For example, it turned out that a large percentage of laptops were manufactured in Taiwan (24 out of 72), although at that time they were produced all over the world.

The most popular firms in the Toshiba collection are 12 of 72, and IBM and Compaq 9 out of 72 respectively. Well, this is quite natural. These firms had a very wide range of models. (Some Toshibians hardly distinguish visually, although different models).
