When I met one very good blind person six months ago, I immediately had the idea to write an application for a smartphone, which could help him if necessary in orientation in space - he calls me, directs the camera phone in the right direction, and I, in turn, I tell what I see and say where he needs to move. The idea remained the idea, but, as usual, good ideas from above do not come only in one head, but in several at once, so to speak, for reliability ...

Be My Eyes makes life easier for a blind person by associating him with a sighted assistant using a mobile application. On the one hand, it allows the blind to cope with large and small tasks, and on the other hand brings joy to those who are sighted, helping others in such a simple and natural way.

Taking the right jar from the shelf, checking the expiration date on milk, or finding something to eat in the fridge is all a matter of minutes when you have eyesight. When you do not have it, even small household chores can turn into a big problem. We at Be My Eyes hope to change this!

With the help of a video call through our application, blind people get the opportunity to ask for the help of sighted volunteers. A blind person “rents” the assistant's eyes through his or her smartphone. The assistant receives the opportunity to see and describe for the blind what he saw. Thus, they both solve the problem facing the blind person.
