New 2015: Lumia becomes more accessible

We continue our parade of premieres . We want to announce the launch of two new smartphones: the Lumia 435, our first model from the new 400th series, which will become the most affordable Microsoft smartphone, as well as the Lumia 532 with a Glance screen and an interesting two-layer design.



The appearance of the Lumia 435 and Lumia 532 is the result of our desire to make the Windows Phone platform and our smartphones more accessible and more attractive. We see enormous potential in the entry-level smartphone market and will continue to strengthen our presence on it, offering best-in-class solutions at the best conditions.

Both smartphones are based on the latest version of the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system with the Lumia Denim update. Recall that it introduced support for folders on the main screen to the platform, the “Application Corner” feature, support for aptX, improved messaging and much more. The price of devices in no way affected the support of branded and partner services - like in the older models, you can work with Microsoft Office documents on the smartphones (the package includes pre-installed Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote applications), switch the usual make calls to Skype calls, use the convenient offline navigation HERE and download up to 30 GB of files and content to the OneDrive cloud storage for free.

As for the technical stuffing, it corresponds to the time and class of devices - its capabilities are more than enough to ensure the smooth operation of Windows Phone 8.1 (recall that with the latest update it was optimized for entry-level devices). Lumia 435 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 dual-core processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz. The Lumia 532 is equipped with the same processor, but four cores, not two, but already Both models have a 4-inch LCD-display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, as well as the ability to install a micro SD card up to 128 GB.

As for the cameras, the Lumia 435 has a 2 megapixel module, while the Lumia 532 has a 5 megapixel module. In addition, both models have a front camera for making video calls.

A full charge of a 1560 mAh battery (in both models) is enough for an average of 12 hours of talk time (3G, in second-generation networks this figure will be higher) or 21-22 days of standby time.

Smartphones will be available in 3G versions with two SIM cards (Smart Dual SIM) in the following colors: bright green, bright orange, white and black. The main difference in design: Lumia 532 has a double-layered case with a transparent top coating (it’s not for us to judge, but it looks very cool). In addition, for this model, a protective cover with a card holder matching the color will also appear. Information on the availability of versions and accessories in the Russian market will appear in the near future.

Lumia 435 and Lumia 532 will be available in February in several European and Asian-Pacific countries, as well as in India, the Middle East and Africa. Estimated cost of Lumia 532 with two SIM-cards in Russia will be 6,490 ₽ (the price recommended by the manufacturer for Europe is 79 euros), the cost of the younger Lumia 435 model in Russia is being specified (in Europe - 69 euros).
