General Motors is creating a competitor for Tesla Motors electric vehicles

The company General Motors begins work on a new project - an electric car, which will be called Bolt. The power reserve on a single battery charge is 320 kilometers, and the price is only 30 thousand US dollars. True, this electric car should appear only after a couple of years - in 2017.

Elekromobil will complement the line of "green" cars from GM, which include, for example, Chevrolet Volt. As for the Volt hybrid, the new model of this electric car was introduced in August last year. By the way, GM has another electric car in stock, the Spark, but it can drive only 130 kilometers on a full battery.

As far as can be understood, Bolt will compete with Tesla Model 3 , a model announced by Ilon Mask last June. As for the electric vehicle from Tesla, the Tesla Model 3 is meant, its dimensions will be 20% smaller than that of the Model S, and the cruising range is more than 320 kilometers.

Currently, Tesla electric cars have no real competitors. But now many companies, including Audi, BMW, Volvo, are working on creating their own versions of electric vehicles. And it is quite likely that after a while a competitor will appear.
