Artemy Lebedev earns more per day than he receives in court compensation. So for him the verdict is also unpleasant: the costs are not paid off. Indeed, there were only three court sessions since the registration of the claim on October 15, 2014, not to mention the preparation of the claim (Lebedev obviously paid for the work of a lawyer).

The reason for going to court was the article “While Omsk celebrated the day of the city, 13 major accidents happened”, which was posted on news.mail.ru on August 5, 2013. The plaintiff claimed that the photo he had taken was used without permission, and on this basis he requested that the defendants be compensated in the amount of 1 million rubles, the Russian Agency for Legal and Judicial Information reports.

The court considered that Omsk Media should pay the plaintiff 13,500 rubles. compensation, and the company Mail.ru, not knowing that the photo belongs to the designer, is exempt from liability.

In 2013, the site at the request of the designer deleted the photo, but refused to pay compensation.
