Specialists of the National Health Service UK (National Health Service) announced their intention to build 11 new genetic centers. These plans are part of the
100000 Genomes Project project . The main goal of the project is to decipher the genomes of tens of thousands of people to obtain information about various cancers, as well as rare genetic diseases.
Obtaining such information will help professionals to more effectively deal with cancer diseases, as well as various hereditary diseases.

According to the medical head of the State Health Service, this project will allow the service to become the center of scientific thought in medicine, all over the world.
The first stage of the project is the selection of volunteers who will agree to provide genetic material for the project. According to the plan, the first stage will begin in February next year. The duration of the project is three years.
In order to participate in a project, it is necessary to give consent to the use of your DNA. All materials will be impersonal (i.e., experts will not know whose genotype stands for). At the same time, it is also necessary to consent to the use of your medical information (disease card) by third-party companies (the data will also be impersonal).
According to experts, the data collected during the project will help create methods for the early detection of certain types of cancer and rare genetic diseases. The main condition is the availability of a medical record of the patient. This is what will allow geneticists not to search for what is not clear where it is not clear, but to purposefully search for certain genes and regions of the genome.
