Censorship on Facebook and Vkontakte for Russian users

Today, the fact of blocking an event dedicated to the “people's assembly” was revealed in order to discuss the verdict to Navalny. In addition to Russian users, the page is unavailable to some European users and Russians trying to access this page through American proxy. At the same time, according to numerous testimonies, the event is available to users from Ukraine, Israel, the Czech Republic, other countries and through the Tor network .
At the time of blocking, more than 12,000 people were noted in the community.

The representative of "Roskomnadzor" Vadim Ampelonsky told "Vedomosti" that the lock occurred at the request of the Prosecutor General. The reason was the calls for unauthorized mass events.

A similar community on Vkontakte is currently available already blocked.

UPD. It is curious that content blocking on Facebook and Vkontakte occurs according to different algorithms. In Facebook, even from Tor, the event becomes unavailable if you log in. Or if you change in the settings the city of residence from Moscow to, for example, Kiev. The account was registered from Russia and Facebook remembers this. With Vkontakte everything is easier - you can see everything through Tor, even if you log in.
