How we (not) found the sniper using a quadrocopter
It is a serious model of the reconnaissance drone, which can fly around the corner or climb to a height of 9+ storey houses, broadcasting live video for 12,000 rubles.
Initially, I had an idea to make a story about how with the help of this drone it is easy to find a sniper in an abandoned house. Why not? The speed with which I gained height - 3 floors in 5 seconds, the speed of horizontal flight is even higher. Flight time is 9 minutes. A 9-storey house with 20 columns of windows can have time to scan (15 seconds to lift 9 floors + 2 seconds to offset sideways + 15 seconds to lower) * 10, provided that one person controls the copter, and the second is carefully watching the contents of the picture on the subject of signs of a person / rifle. ')
But after several calls to my acquaintances asking “I need a rifle”, I received the answer “Lech, it’s clear that the crisis, but not to the same extent”, my enthusiasm subsided, and I focused on enhancing the flying skills and speed passing the track).
So, let me introduce you a Hubsan X4 H107D radio-controlled quadcopter with a transmitting video camera and 2.4G equipment (thanks to the Ypapa.ru store for the equipment provided).
Under the cut there is a sniper, which I did find, as well as a description of a cool quadcopter and several videos with a test for flight speed (25 mph), a 100+ meter altitude test and DIY gadgets

Conclusion
If you already have basic skills (don't hit walls or cats, don't confuse top and bottom, right and left, can calibrate the remote, you can fly around the room with people without hitting anyone, etc.) of the drone control (and for that the light version of the Hubsan X4 2.4G ), then in order to learn how to operate on a professional remote, learn to fly around the camera (FVP), and take the next step towards managing drones that cost more than $ 500, the model I described is ideal. And welcome to the club pilots drone.
