The official YouTube blog has announced a new opportunity for video owners to find out in advance without uploading to the service itself - whether the audio track used in the video does not violate someone’s copyright, so the video can be blocked. Identifying illegally used audio on YouTube is handled by a special Content ID program that scans user-uploaded videos. In the event that the violation was recorded, the rights owner was provided with a further choice of actions:
Mute video
Full blocking roller
Monetization by advertising
Just tracking the statistics of video views in order to determine further actions.
Now users are invited before downloading the video to make sure that their material does not violate any rights with the help of the YouTube Audio Library. On three tabs are available options for songs that can be found and downloaded for use in your video:
