VLC player for Android out of beta

Known for its omnivorous and multiplatform open and free VLC player for Android has officially received the version number 1.0, coming out of beta status, which it has been in for almost two years since its appearance on Google Play in July 2012.

Like the desktop companion, VLC for Android supports many audio and video file formats, including streaming, audio and video libraries with full-featured search for them, support for subtitles and gesture control (although Google Chromecast’s previously announced support is not yet available). All versions of Android are supported, starting with the ancient 2.1 and ending with 5.0 Lollipop.

Despite the fact that the description of VLC in the Play Market has not yet had time to edit, it does not have the stern warning, known to users of the beta version, has disappeared:
