The second stage of the sale of Bitcoin from Silk Road is completed: the rate remains the same

The US Federal Marshals Service held a second auction, selling 50,000 bitcoins seized from Silk Road. The new auction was held from November 15 to December 5, with the division of bitcoins into 10 blocks of 2000 “coins” and 10 blocks of 3000 cryptocurrencies each.

Under the terms of the auction, it was necessary to register on the USMS website and deposit $ 100,000 in collateral. In total, 11 participants of the auction were registered (in June, by the way, 45 participants were registered).

Bitcoin exchange rate against the dollar almost did not change, and now stands at about $ 370 to 1 Bitcoin. In June, the holding of a similar auction "dropped" the course immediately by 7%.

Now the US Marshals Service still has 94,000 bitcoins, which will be sold in the next few months. Earlier it was reported that this volume of cryptocurrency was no longer withdrawn from the Silk Road wallets, but from Ross Ulbricht's purses, who claimed that these were his personal "coins".
