Google will distribute free of charge materials for training of developers on DVD

Today, a new post appeared in the Google blog, announcing a new initiative of the search giant - for those developers who, due to a weak Internet channel, cannot download materials of interest to them for training or development, they will be available on DVD through Google Developers Groups.

Dev Kit Pilot contains 4 disks with relevant information as of August 2014 (there are also a limited number on flash drives):

• Google Cloud Platform tutorial from developers.google.com/cloud , including App Engine SDK
• Offline copy of developer.android.com with Android SDK and Android Studio
• Manual on Material Design from google.com/design
• Best practices in web programming from developers.google.com/web
• Video on the Google Cloud Platform and Android-development from the corresponding YouTube-channels for developers
• Video channel I / O Dev Bytes Series
• Udacity courses on Android, App Engine, HTML5 games, UX, Mobile Web
• Google I / O 2014 Design Track videos

All information is distributed under the Creative commons and Apache licenses. You can pick up a copy of Dev Kit Pilot (30 GB) from here . Already, more than 2,000 sets have been transferred through GDG (a full list of groups in your country can be viewed here ) to developers and students in Africa, India and Bangladesh.
