Moscow officials want to chat, but require the protection of communications. Therefore, a special system will be developed especially for them. This was told in an interview with M24.ru head of the department of information technology Artem Yermolaev. According to him, the idea is now being developed by the finalists of the Moscow Innovators contest , which is held among officials.



"On the basis of existing instant messengers, you can create a separate" closed "layer," Yermolaev explained. " “You can set another level of authorization.” He noted that in total in the Moscow government there are 25,000 employees, but “closed chat” is not necessary for everyone, but only for those who provide public services or consider appeals from citizens.



“The system is needed not for the officials to exchange links and communicate on extraneous topics, but to bring the work information to a colleague without knowing his phone number. The messenger will show whether the subscriber is available or not, whether the message has been read, ”explained Ermolaev.



The head of the IT-technology department did not share the information about the budget allocated for the development of this “mega-project”. He also did not say what he was not satisfied with existing IM clients with built-in cryptography, such as Telegram.

But he said that the winners of the “Innovators of Moscow” competition expect the least costly way to implement this idea. “It is necessary that the decision be economically and technically justified, and the effect paid for the costs. The participants of the competition must make an economic analysis of the implementation on each of the existing messengers, ”Yermolaev explained.



Capital officials sent more than 1,200 ideas in the framework of the Moscow Innovators competition. As a result, 24 winning proposals were selected to be implemented. For example, one of the ideas provides that residents of Zelenograd will be able to give marks to plumbers, electricians, janitors and other utilities workers.



A new UAV will be launched to patrol territories in New Moscow. He will identify landfills, illegal construction sites and illegal parking.
