Apple's patent for changing the angle of a smartphone when it was dropped was
registered by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. With the help of sensors, a protective mechanism will be created that allows the iPhone, like a cat, to roll over in the air before falling, to protect fragile items from damage.

The cat, as you know, always
falls on its paws . Apple decided to patent the application of this idea for gadgets. Sensors - gyroscopes, accelerometers and GPS - will determine the angle and speed of the fall, after which the vibration motor can reorient the smartphone so as not to break the camera and display. The technology has been called the “Protection Mechanism for an Electronic Device”. But it is unclear whether this technology will be used in new iPad and iPhone models, because companies often patent any kind of useful inventions so that no one can use their ideas.

Three years ago, Amazon CEO
invented something similar. He only used compressed gas released during free fall to soften it.
But what will happen if you tie a sandwich to the phone?
