Modern music videos can hardly be called food for the mind. Of course, there are quite impressive work, but all of them are intended only to attract attention and hold attention while watching a 2-4 minute clip. Mostly attracted the attention of cars, jewelry and other such things. Actually, there is nothing to criticize and no one.

It is better to praise those who are engaged in attracting the attention of the audience not only to their creativity, but also to science. So, the musician from New Zealand, Nigel Stanford ( Nigel Stanford ) created a music video where there are almost no actors, and the plot is tied to experiments. The main purpose of the clip - the visualization of sound in all possible ways.

In this case, the clip was not created by fitting the results of experiments to music. On the contrary, at first, basic sounds were used, which led to different equipment behavior, and already on the basis of visual effects an audio sequence was created.

One of the effects is standing waves that were formed in a thin layer of water poured directly onto the speaker. Sounds of various frequencies influenced the distribution of waves in the water column (such interesting liquid as frozen vodka was also used).

There are also Tesla rings in the clip (while the musicians donned “Faraday suits”, a worn version of the Faraday cage), and ferromagnetic fluid, and Rubens tube .

In general, it is better to see once than to read a lot of text. Here is the clip itself:
