"Wanderers": a short film about the development of the Solar System

The Wanderers short film is another interesting piece of work that addresses an important issue: the exploration of the solar system. True, here the calculation is based on emotions, practically no information is reported, only possible ways of mastering our system are shown.

“The Wanderers” is the work of Swedish animator and graphic designer Erik Wernquist . It is worth noting that the creator of the video familiarized himself with the various works of NASA scientists related to the problem of developing the Solar System. In the film, you can see the Earth for 10 thousand years BC. Earth in the near future, Jupiter, Enceladus (satellite of Saturn), rings of Saturn, space elevator on Mars, crater Victoria on Mars, sunset on Mars, Iapet (satellite of Saturn), asteroid, Europe (satellite of Jupiter), Titan (satellite of Saturn), Miranda (satellite of Uranus). And it all turned out fit in such a short clip.



The result is this short film where we see the exploration of Mars, asteroids, satellites of the gas giant planets. By the way, the music for the film is taken from the audio book by Karl Sagan . I must say, the audio sequence is chosen really well.

It remains only to wish us all to live to the moment, or rather, the moments shown in this film. I think in the middle of the last century, many people believed that the development of the solar system was already very close, but these people, unfortunately, were deceived in their expectations. Let us hope that our expectations will not be deceived.
