The company "Yandex" a year ago became the owner of "Kinopoisk" , the largest resource with movie trailers and reviews on them. Now the company management announced its intention to launch an updated version of Kinopoisk with the ability to watch videos from partners. Partners include major online cinemas and famous TV channels.



According to the company, the video can be viewed directly on the Kinopoisk, but traffic will be taken into account for partner sites. And Yandex will receive its share for advertising sales in the materials shown to viewers. In addition, a subscription to the new service will be launched, which will also bring profit to the domestic company. As for the launch date, nothing is known yet. "We do not discuss the details of future launches and do not disclose the dates," said Asya Melkumova, Yandex spokeswoman.

Among the partners of the video content broadcasting company are cinemas Tvigle.ru, Megogo.ru, Rutube.ru, Zoomby.ru, Now.ru, Ivi.ru, Ayyo.ru and CTC channel. According to RBC sources , different partners will receive a different percentage of profit.



As for the video hosting platform, it may become Pladform, whose player is located in more than 217 venues, including the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, the online cinema Megogo and some other resources. The rightholder, when displaying his content using Pladform, gets about 60% of the profits. So far, there is no confirmation from the Pladform manual.



“As far as we know, Yandex constantly maintains an active dialogue with video market participants, and we cannot comment on the status until the final restart of the Kinopoisk project,” said Armen Gulinyan, general director of Pladform.
