In the picture - part of Tianhe-2At the same time, 3 supercomputers from Russia are in the top 100.
The rating itself was presented at the SC'14 conference held in New Orleans. In principle, there were no special surprises for the new list.
The first place is already accustomed to the Chinese system Tianhe-2 (“Milky Way-2”), with a productivity of 33.86 petaflops (peak performance of 54.9 petaflops). System configuration: TH-IVB-FEP Cluster, Intel Xeon E5-2692 12C 2.200GHz, TH Express-2, Intel Xeon Phi 31S1P.

The total number of supercomputers from Asia on the list has decreased from 132 to 120.
Perhaps, in 2017, the first place will be taken by the American supercomputer, which is planned to be placed in Oakridge National Laboratory (Tennessee, USA). Now the project to create a system is known as Summit. The performance of this supercomputer, according to the plan, should be 85 petaflops.
In Europe, the regiment of superproductive systems, on the contrary, arrived. Here, the number of supercomputers on the list increased from 116 to 130. There are almost as many American systems as there were 231 last year (compared to last year’s 233 systems).
As for Russia, domestic systems took 22, 58, 81, 133, 189, 190, 337, 390 and 457 places.
22 place was taken by a supercomputer from Moscow State University. Mv Lomonosov. The name of the system is “A-Class”, and it was installed by T-Platforms. Configuration: 5 racks with 1280 nodes, based on 14-core Intel Xeon E5-2697 v3 processors and Nvidia Tesla K40 accelerators. The RAM here is
2 GB 80 TB. The individual elements are connected by two Ethernet networks and two FDR InfiniBand networks.
And this is the supercomputer "Lomonosov"Interestingly, in the Moscow State University. Mv Lomonosov is another supercomputer, which previously was also on the 22nd place. Now he is in 58th place. This system is called "Lomonosov", which is quite logical.
