Robots six years portrayed people in three houses

The soulless researchers forced robots to huddle in three houses for six years and pretend the lives of average families. Robots turned on and off TVs, used household appliances and even sweated. The purpose of the study is to alalize the real effects of energy-efficient construction and equipment.

For the study of energy used three houses, which in 2009 settled robots. Behavior differed depending on the house: the first was the most energy-efficient, and the third repeated all the habits of an ordinary family, not confused on the equipment and paying the bill without thinking about how to reduce them. The second house was something between these two - it was equipped with easily accessible means for an ordinary citizen to increase energy efficiency.

The refrigerator closed and opened on schedule. In the morning the lights in the bathroom turned on, and the shower poured into the empty bathroom. TV showed news in empty rooms. Washing and dishwashers worked daily. In the evening, the light was on throughout the apartment, and closer to the night the house was turned off and fell asleep. To this end, the house was equipped with appropriate applications and devices so that human assistance was not at all required. But there were no humanoid robots similar to Bender either.

Now three houses are for sale . Without robots.

According to the results of the experiment, the most energy-efficient house used 55% less electricity than the control one. The second house saved 37%. Energy efficiency measures, which were investigated as part of the experiment, included Campbell Creek in Tennessee building codes.

Without the participation of people in the house, scientists are faced with a problem: the level of humidity in the houses did not coincide with that in homes with people. It was necessary to install Human Body Emulation Systems , that is, simulators of the human body, which slowly produced heat and water, trying to repeat human sweat and breath. "Sweated" and "breathed" this car.
