Christopher Nolan - director / screenwriter "Interstellar" spoke about the events in the life of Dr. Mann (in the film he plays Matt Damon) after arriving on the icy planet. He was an eminent scientist who dared to explore new horizons as part of the Lazarus mission with eleven other astronauts. But what happened to Mann? Why was his robot broken?

The story was illustrated by a well-known comic book creator, artist Sean Gordon Murphy.
