I read a resource for a long time, a good thing. I decided to bring a little clarity to our life, namely - to a seemingly simple thing - grounding.

Inspired by the article , but after reading the comments, I had doubts crept in - is it clear to everyone about the essence of grounding? I wanted to add something from myself, in simple words, without any PUE. After all, grounding is protection, and therefore - it is important.

An important role in this is played by grounding (I will not write the word “well-executed according to all GOST” - the topic is designed for a simple understanding of the basis of grounding, and not for studying standards). Here the circuit looks different: the potential accumulates in the clouds relative to the earth and when it reaches a certain value, it is discharged (and here, yes, the current goes into the earth, equalizing the potentials of heaven and earth, for such a circuit).
