China is going to send its own rover to the Red Planet by 2020

Most likely, this is what the Chinese rover will look like.

The successes of the space program of China are great. Thus, the scientists of this country quite successfully sent the “Yuuta” device controlled from the Earth to the Moon - the first lunar rover in 40 years. After the automatic probe was launched, it flew around the moon and returned to Earth. This probe, “ Chanye 5-T1 ”, circled around the moon and took a lot of different pictures. At this probe, Chinese engineers worked out the technologies that will be used in “Chanye 5 ″ - the returned lunar probe, which must take samples of lunar rocks and return to Earth.

But scientists of the Middle Kingdom are not limited to plans to study the moon. China is going to do and Mars. And now the scientists of this country are conducting preliminary work to create their own rover. Send it to the Red Planet is planned for 2020.

The prototype of such a rover was shown at the international aerospace exhibition, which was held in Zhuhai (China). It is known that the rover will have six wheels, and its descent to the surface of Mars will be conducted using two additional systems: the orbital station and the descent module. The Chinese are proud that this project alone will allow them to accomplish three tasks at once: launching a satellite into Mars orbit, landing the descent module with a rover and launching the rover itself to the surface of Mars.

This is Yuuta, the Chinese lunar rover.

The rover itself will be made on the basis of the Yuuta lunar rover, of course, with significant modifications and changes. So, the rover will be more Yuytu, it will also be taught to avoid obstacles. On Mars, the difficult terrain, the rover must be adapted for a long stay on this planet with movements over long distances.

By 2030, China plans to send a returnable probe to Mars, which will take samples of Martian rocks and return to Earth.

Also, Chinese experts are considering the possibility of sending a man to the moon by 2020, plus sending a probe to one of the three most dangerous asteroids for the earth. Of course, everything comes down to money - the space industry is very expensive for the governments of their countries (by the way, it is worth remembering the ultra-economical Indian Martian probe, the price of which is $ 75 million many times lower than similar projects in other countries). If there is sufficient funding from the government - China will be able to complete the tasks and beyond the plan. But, most likely, the money will go to the implementation of the Martian program, after the completion of the lunar cycle of projects.

Whatever it was, China has a large number of plans, and I would like to wish that the scientists were able to fulfill all their plans.
