Compare the size of the comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko with spaceships from fantastic works and real cities
The Death Star. How without her?
Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko is a fairly large object, the length of a comet is about 4 kilometers. This is in the photos of the Rosetta station, it does not look very big, in reality everything is different.
In order to get a real understanding of the size of a comet, artist Christopher Becke has compiled several comparative illustrations. The illustrations show a comet next to the most famous starships from the NF works. Also shown are real cities, again, in comparison with a comet. ')
The comparison of the comet with the cities was carried out by scientists from the ESA, and not by Christopher (the artist’s site with all such illustrations is here ). All this looks no less impressive.
