The Swiss crossed the threshold of 333 kilometers per hour on a "rocket" bike

A desperate guy from Switzerland named Francois Gissy drove at a speed of 333 km / h on the “bike”. The 200-mph barrier was passed on November 7 on a model with the appropriate name “Kamikaze V” at the Circuit Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castelier in southern France.

Of course, it is impossible to categorize this design with jet engines like a bicycle with absolute certainty, but Kamikaze V has wheels from a mountain bike and even some kind of gearshift. Although it is not clear how to shift gears at this speed.

How does it feel to be at a speed of 333 kilometers per hour? Jissi said that during the time of arrival he was not having fun and his heart was just pounding, but he was pleased with the numbers of the speed achieved.

The rocket part of the design was designed by Neraher Arnold. The bike was filled with 90% hydrogen peroxide. Although the frame is made to order, many of the components of the model are standard. The wheels, however, were tested at the Michelin stand at a speed of 300 km / h with a load of 100 kg each. It is terrible to even think what can happen to the rider, if at that speed his front wheel burst from overload!

Jissi made three races. In the second of them, he was accompanied by a Ferrari car, which fell behind at a speed of 260 km / h. The main record was set in the third race.

Zissy and his Exotic Thermo Engineering team plan to create an even faster bike to set a new record in 2015. The new model called the Spine Crusher will have to accelerate with an overload of 10g, reaching 300 km / h in almost a second, and have a top speed of 400 km / h. So far, developers are looking for sponsors for a new project.
