Australian from scratch in two years made a valid copy of the Batmobile

In two years, Zak Mikhailovich produced from scratch a copy of the Batmobile used in the 1989 film with Michael Kitan, reports the site OddityCentral . This is not just a large-scale copy - it is a real active car. Moreover, it is the only copy of the Batmobile, which is officially allowed to drive on public roads in Australia. As Zach says, "I can go there for groceries if necessary."

For the first time the idea to make a similar car came to Zak four years ago. He began to implement it with the help of his friend Scott Cox and under the guidance of his grandfather John Green, a retired engineer. It took only two years to assemble the necessary parts - Zak was fortunate enough to even get a few parts used on the original car from the movie.

“The car has a custom suspension and burner at the back. Unfortunately, there are no harpoons, machine guns and bombs flying out of the wheels. ”

The car always creates a sensation among the local population, people want to touch it and take pictures next. One young couple even offered to pay Zach for the right to “christen” the car, so to speak, to which he replied with a firm refusal. Zack also refuses to sell his creation even for a six-figure sum.

“Once I was driving along the freeway and heard a strange noise. At first I thought something was wrong with the engine, but then it turned out that a helicopter of news service was chasing me. ”

Instead of making money by selling a unique car, Zak, together with the charity organization Make-A-Wish, entertains mortally ill children. "I dress up in Batman's costume and give surprises to children - sometimes I come to their house, sometimes I invite them to dinner."

Zack refers to this product as the best thing he has done in life. “If I can’t do anything else, I’ll die happy anyway.”
