Former member of the Pirate Bay team is free again

Former member of the Pirate Bay team and computer expert Peter Sunde was released from the insane asylum . He spent five months there. Prior to that, he had been hiding from Interpol for two years, since the court found him guilty on charges of piracy.

Peter lived for a long time in Berlin, but periodically visited his family in Sweden, where he was captured by law enforcement officers.

After his release, Peter should recover a little, and then he will again take up the business of his life - improving the Internet.

Although the crime was not a criminal act, he was detained in a high-security prison. According to him, it was very difficult there. In particular, they did not provide him with a vegan diet. As a result of this, as well as a completely understandable depression, Peter lost 15 kilograms.

“Boredom was the worst,” says Peter. At some point I was allowed to buy soy yogurt and muesli for my own money, which I ate for breakfast. There is no vegan food in prison. ”

Today, his torment comes to an end. He is reunited with his loved ones, and to some extent with himself. "My body is reunited with soul and mind - with those parts that I cherish most of all, and which cannot be taken hostage."

Now Peter is free to move around the world again, without fear of arrest, to attend conferences and other public events.

Peter plans to continue working on his projects, in particular on Flattr micropayment service and Heml.is encrypted chat. As always, civil activity remains in the first place.

“I am filled with ideas, and one of my main goals is to develop ethical ways of financing civic activism. To change things, money is often required. But in most cases, the receipt of this money goes against your ideals. I am sure that we can improve this situation. ”

Welcome back, Peter!
