The fire has almost completely destroyed the 5 MW Bitcoin farm.

On Habré and Geektimes there are a lot of people who either mine the Bitcoins, either trade them, or are simply interested in cryptocurrency. Maybe someone even has their own bitcoin farm.

So, if you do not pay attention to issues of fire safety, it's time to do it. Not so long ago there was a fire on a bitcoin farm in Thailand. It was a fairly powerful 5 megawatt farm managed by Cowboyminers. The farm-installed equipment is predominantly Spondoolies-Tech and Innosilicon hardware, with a bit of BitFury and Gridseed hardware.

Cowboyminers is a group of Europeans permanently living in Bangkok who decided to create a powerful mining farm for cryptocurrency. Back in June, according to some visitors of the farm, everything was fine, then about 1000 miners were installed, but after that the farm was decided to be expanded, and more than a thousand miners were installed.

The fire on the farm occurred at night, when there were only two people in the room. According to local media, open fire destroyed a lot in just 30 minutes. Of the people, no one was hurt, but the equipment burned down to many millions of dollars (only Spondoolies-Tech hardware was destroyed for 2 million).

According to the Gizmodo journalists, the fire occurred due to the ignition of acoustic foam (according to another version , acoustic foam helped the already established fire center spread throughout the territory, affecting other farm buildings), and the fire control system, which is usually installed in high-end data centers.

As far as can be judged, this fire has affected the entire network.

Farm operators are trying to restore what is left, but it is clear that most of the equipment has been destroyed. It is known that all Spondoolies-Tech iron is completely destroyed by fire. The saddest thing is that none of the things that burned were insured, so no one can claim damages.

Here is what was:
