Android creator leaves Google

Andy Rubin, one of the creators of the Android operating system, is leaving Google. According to The Wall Street Journal, he will be engaged in incubating hardware start-ups and, in particular, will focus on creating robotics.

For many, Rubin’s departure from Google did not come as a surprise. In March of this year, he left the Android development group at Google. His position was taken by Sundar Pichai, who became responsible for Android, Chrome and Google Apps, and recently received even more authority and became responsible for Google+, map services, web search, research, business and advertising. Rubin's latest project at Google was devoted to creating robots in the secret laboratory of Google X lab. Whether Google will participate in the new initiative of Rubin is still unknown.
