Cygnus space truck was blown up by the operator himself after a failed launch
A couple of days ago, there was a rather sad news that the space truck Cygnus exploded right at the launch site. Who is to blame and what to do - until experts find out.
Nevertheless, there was a new interesting information about the explosion itself. It turned out that the ship was blown up by Orbital Sciences Corp. itself, immediately after it became clear that the ship would not be able to go into orbit. ')
This was done in order to prevent possible casualties and destruction, in case the ship fell to any settlement after launch. It could happen anywhere - the ship would take off, as far as can be understood, but could not go into orbit.
So far it is unclear what exactly caused the failure. Some experts argue that the most likely cause is engine problems. Nevertheless, all participants in the production process related to the rocket engines, deny their guilt. Russian experts claim that the first-stage engines of the AJ-26 (modification NK-33) were operating normally, without any problems noted.
As it became known, the total value of the cargo that the spacecraft was supposed to deliver to the ISS was $ 200 million.
