Sales of Tesla electric cars in Michigan still banned

A few days ago on Geektimes there was news that Michigan could ban direct sales of Tesla electric vehicles. And since this company does not use dealer networks, then we are talking about a total ban on sales of electric vehicles.

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder signed a bill that has now become law. This is the law 5606, which actually had to limit dealers' profits (percentage of sales), but after adding a couple of paragraphs, this bill became a threat to Tesla in Michigan.

The governor himself delivered a speech in which he said that he calls on politicians to review legislation relating to car sales. Despite the governor's verbosity and eloquence, the fact remains that Tesla sales in Michigan will now be stopped.

As mentioned earlier, similar laws have now been developed by other states, including Texas, Arizona and Virginia. In addition, even before Tesla had to sign an agreement with car dealers from Ohio, the essence of which is the obligation of the manufacturer of electric cars not to open additional stores for the sale of their cars. So Elon Mask will have to do a lot of work before all these problems can be solved.
