What did Mars look like in the past?

At the moment, it has practically been proven that Mars was previously water in liquid form and a denser atmosphere, very different from what we are seeing on the Red Planet now.

At present, Mars is a desert with a rarefied atmosphere, where life, if possible, is only somewhere in the depths of Mars, caves and voids (speaking of life, we mean microorganisms, bacteria or viruses, and not complexly organized creatures). So, NASA decided to try to imagine what Mars was in the past.

To do this, using the data from the satellite MAVEN (Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution), scientists created the image of Mars Now / Mars In The Past, where you can see the current state of affairs and the expected appearance of this area in the past.

It looks almost like Earth, right? It would be great to have a terraforming of Mars, in order to get a reliable outpost of our civilization in space. But this is still far away, unfortunately.
