Since the opening of GeekTimes, we haven’t written anything on it yet - so we decided to turn to the geek community, because there are probably many students among you! Our first post is dedicated to the Microsoft Student Partners (MSP) program.
You may have already heard about the program of Microsoft partner students. This is an international program that gathers the most active students who are passionate about modern technologies, and at the same time seeking to carry everyone around with these technologies. In this program, we are pleased to see both the leaders of student technology communities and enthusiasts who are keen on programming. Until October 20, you can
register to participate in the autumn wave of the program.
Join the MSP community if you:
- love technology and programming
- love to talk about technology with your friends, be at the center of communication, gather people around you
- You think that students should learn about new and modern technologies both at university and outside classes
- want to improve
- want to expand your social circle and make friends with the most active students from all over Russia and from all over the world
- want to know better how Microsoft works from the inside
- want to sow in the ranks of other students a reasonable, kind, eternal ...
This year we are strongly updating the program of partner students in Russia, and therefore we are opening doors for new participants. To join the program, you must
register and answer a few questions, after which you will
receive an answer about whether you are accepted into the program or not.

However, joining the program is only the first step! The program takes into account your activity: if you organize some technological progress at the university, write an interesting popular post on Habré or create your own game, then your rating in the community increases. The best participants are waiting for various amenities, for example:
- Paid participation in a Russian or international MSP summit (last year held at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond)
- various gadgets
- participation in the formation of the MSP community, coordinating the work of the community by region or technology areas (“community leaders”)
- Free MSDN Premium subscription, which includes, in addition to all software, about $ 150 / month for cloud services
- special “active MSP package”
- the possibility of a guaranteed telephone interview when applying for a job or internship at Microsoft
In addition, this year we are planning to select a small number of the most active and technically literate (“elite special forces”) MSPs with whom we will work more closely within the mentor program, and from which we will bring up a new generation of technological evangelists, involving them in various practical activities and trainings. Getting into this group will be very difficult ...
What to do? Register!
If you have read this post and are not sure what to do - the answer is simple:
try to register . The next step you will receive an invitation to a special closed MSP Summit, which we will hold on October 25, and which will tell all the details about participation in the program. For participants from Moscow, there will be an opportunity to participate in the summit personally in our office (and try the local pizza).
To get into the autumn wave, you need to register before October 20. After that, we will not close the registration, but we will not be able to invite new participants to the summit, and it will be more difficult for them to join the already cohesive team. So apply now and tell your friends about this opportunity!
