How much do we know about renewable energy?

In connection with the reform in TM, some of the topics moved to a new resource. This small topic was prepared on Habré and was removed in drafts, since it was on the verge of blurring the subject of Habr. I think his appearance will not cause problems in the new situation.
In my articles on research in the field of renewable energy ( one and the second ), I talked about the possibilities of extracting energy from manure, wind, peat and even from the ground. But despite the fact that this topic seems to me and my colleagues quite promising - for most ordinary people it is not at all clear. It worries us!
A year ago, we did a kind of research (we interviewed about 100 people between the ages of 15 and 50) and asked a few simple questions. For example, what is biogas? Or is it possible to heat the heat of the Earth? The results, frankly, we are not pleased. Most of the respondents (80%) practically do not know the topic of renewable energy. We even introduced the concept of “blonde syndrome”, and, thanks to our friend Alexey Elyasov, made a short video about this. Let the video distract readers a little, but it still seems important to me to start popularizing and talking about renewable energy (and the technologies that accompany them) on the GT. Therefore, a small survey is also attached.
