MTS will spend on the implementation of the law of Spring 60 billion rubles

Today it became known that the MTS company will spend about 60 billion rubles to implement the law of Spring. This is not a one-time waste, the money will be invested within five years. Expenditures for this and the next year will be known after the company purchases all the technical solutions and equipment necessary for the implementation of the law, Vedomosti reports .

All the necessary procedures are already running, but the equipment has not yet been acquired. According to the president of MTS, Alexei Korny, negotiations are being held with vendors on the acquisition of the necessary hardware.

Earlier, VimpelCom reported that in five years the sum of expenses for the implementation of the law of Spring will be about 45 billion rubles. This is 13 rubles per subscriber per month. Thus, we can expect a relatively rapid increase in tariffs for the population - companies are unlikely to just silently look at a decline in profitability.

About a week ago there was news that Megafon ordered the Kupol storage system for storing traffic according to the law of Spring. Until May 30 of this year, the manufacturer Kupola will deliver equipment to eight MegaFon sites and three Scartel sites. We are talking about sites that are located in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Saransk, Pskov and Smolensk.

Decree No. 445 “On Approval of the Rules for Storage by Telecommunications Operators of Text Messages of Users of Telecommunications Services, Voice Information, Images, Sounds, Video and Other Communications of Users of Telecommunications Services” obliges telephone and data communication operators to transmit voice traffic and text messages for the purpose of voice information transmission messages in full for 6 months, and Internet providers from July 1, 2018 to keep traffic in zero, and from October 1, 2018 - in full.

Storage capacity should be equal to the amount of traffic that is transmitted in the month preceding the date of commissioning of technical means of information accumulation.
