"Kubernetes network bases". Alexander Hayorov, head of development.RootConf Conference, May 29, 12:00Kubernetes is today the most recognizable container orchestration system, and over the past year it is second only to the Linux kernel in popularity (Issues + PRs). Sometimes you ask yourself a question: “How and why does it work?” In the report we will talk about network magic kubernetes - from pod to ingress. You will learn how the creators of the orchestrator were guided, for what tasks these or other components can be applied, and why you should not be afraid of Ingress. After the report, everything will become clear!
“Software patents: what, why and how to patent and how it will help your career or business.” Daria Yatskina, Head of Ingram Micro Cloud Patent Program:Whale Rider Conference, May 29, 14:00Some people think that patents are about Apple, Samsung and other giants who regularly try to squeeze something out of each other. No, this is just a small piece of the overall picture. Patents are closer than it seems.
He is looking for one very promising start-up financing, but investors are attracted by a less interesting start-up competitor. Why? Because the second startup has patents, and the first does not.
One successful start-up appears on the promising US market, but instead of a bright future, he sees only millions of lawsuits. Why? Because it violated someone's patents.
One cool developer decides to go to a more promising place in another company. But this place is suddenly taken by another developer. Why? Because he counted more software patents.
As you can see, problems with patents can arise from any companies, start-ups and even individual developers. At the Whale Rider conference as part of RHS ++, I will tell you why patents are needed, how to patent in the software industry, and how much time and money it will take.
"Educational board games for programmers." Artem Larin, leading java-developer.Conference Aletheia Business, May 28, 16:00For the past few years I have been training developers. I overwhelm my colleagues with books, take courses in Java, and at the same time try to introduce new methods. And in my life I am fond of board games. Once the thought arose: why not try them for work?
The concept, frankly, is not new, but games for programmers are used only in teaching children some basic things. And the work uses much more complicated concepts - databases, multithreading, etc. - and the latter has its own specifics on Java. It is also possible to teach all this with the help of board games, and now I am creating such a game. At the conference, I will partially demonstrate it, as well as talk about the prospects of board games in training developers in principle.
We will be glad to see you at RIT ++!
