We invite you to the hackathon M.SMART from "M.Video"

Friends, we invite you to our first hackathon, dedicated to the development of VR and AR products. Hackathon will be held in two stages, correspondence and full-time. Within the framework of the correspondence stage, which will last from May 18 to May 28, the best applications from the participants will be selected. The full-time stage will take place from June 2 to 3 and will be organized for the first time in one of our home appliances and electronics stores. All this time, the store will be open to visitors, who will be able to observe the hackathon and the coding process!

We believe that the future lies with VR and AR solutions, so we are looking for specialists who could offer interesting projects for our business and everything connected with it, including in the area of ​​training M. M. Video employees themselves. We need not only developers, programmers, designers, but also managers who can organically introduce the proposed ideas into our business model and build simple and understandable processes for using VR / AR / MR technologies among M.Video employees and customers.

So, the correspondence stage begins on May 18 and ends on May 28. To participate in the hackathon, you need to register on our website: hackathon.mvideo.ru and send us an application with a description of the proposed solution / product / idea. At the end of the correspondence stage, we will select 20 teams and invite you to the on- site stage , which will be held in the M.Video store from 2 to 3 June.

In total, the hackathon will have three nominations:

• Impressions. How to expand customer experience in a "different" reality and increase loyalty? For example: a virtual store, “fitting” equipment in the interior, in-store navigation.
• Efficiency. Can VR technologies improve business processes within a company? For example: remote employee training, virtual travel and meetings.
• Innovation. We remove any thematic restrictions - only VR and business intuition.

The total prize fund will be 300 000 rubles. 1-3 prizes will be awarded to the money prize, offering the best solutions.

The in-person stage will be held at the M.Video store in the Hudson Mall at the address: 14, Kashirskoye Highway, Moscow.

Of course, cash prizes for winning are nice. But the main thing is that the authors of the best projects chosen by us will be able to bring their ideas to a logical conclusion: to conclude an agreement with the largest electronics retailer in Russia to introduce their ideas. That is, you can not just win at the hackathon, but also see your solution at work in hundreds of our stores across the country.

One more unusual feature of the hakaton, besides the venue, will be one vacant seat on the jury. Thus, besides the experts of M.Video, any visitor to the store can enter the jury. Well, not quite any, but the winner of the competition, which we will conduct just to find the jury member "from the side". A sort of dark horse that could suddenly affect the outcome of the hackathon.
