Despite the fact that the new version of the once famous Netscape browser has not been for more than a year, AOL, which owns the browser rights, does not lose heart and, despite all rumors, is preparing to release a new version of its Netscape browser (this time with the number 9.0).
It has been in development for a year now and, in spite of this, there are very few details about its features. It is only known that there will be advanced integration with the new www.netscape.com (clone of the famous Digg.com, made in a new way). And a good built-in FTP client.
The developers also say that the browser will have whole modules from Firefox, but, nevertheless, it will be a completely independent product.
Although the eighth version was developed based on the existing code, the new version of Netscape 9.0 is being prepared by a new development team and, as they say, it will support all major platforms: Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
