Hacker seizes control of Pornhub and sells access for a thousand dollars

A 19-year-old hacker under the nickname Revolver (account 1x0123 on Twitter) announced the hacking of the porn site Pornhub and now offers everyone who wants to buy access to the server for $ 1000. This is not such a high price for a site with 60 million visitors per day.

As proof, the young man published two screenshots .

Hacker also expressed his attitude to the recently announced Pornhub reward program for the found vulnerabilities . “I no longer report vulnerabilities. Go underground or dump. #FuckBugBounty, ” he said .

Revolver explained that he had repeatedly reported bugs in the past, but had not received a response from companies, so now he does not want to tell them his real name.

Hacker said he flooded the shell and got access to the admin panel, so he now controls the server completely.



He mentioned that he used a vulnerability in the script for user profiles, this script processes the photos uploaded to the profile. Obviously, under the guise of photography, he managed to upload and run his code for execution.

Representatives of Pornhub have so far refused to comment, but on Twitter they said that they are investigating and so far it does not look like the hacker has gained access to the production server.

While Pornhub is investigating, the guy says that he has already sold access to three customers.

Revolver also said that Pornhub representatives approached him on Twitter. He sent them in three letters, adding that if they give a premium account on Pornhub, he is ready to help close the vulnerability. No answer yet.

Revolver has recently become a celebrity. A month ago, he announced a bug on the Freedom of the Press Foundation’s website, then Edward Snowden himself thanked him publicly .
