Rutracker switched to https

Popular torrent tracker Rutracker has connected HTTPS encryption . So far, encryption is available as an option during authorization, and will soon be enabled by default for all users.

“This innovation was planned for a long time, but was postponed several times. At first we planned to block certain topics at the requests of Roskomnadzor, then when it became irrelevant , combined the work of the certificate with the forum mirrors, and then tested the work with lock bypass plug-ins, ”the official statement says.

The TLS certificate for rutracker.org was issued on April 9, 2016, when testing began .

The HTTPS option at authorization was added on April 24th. If you activate it, then all links to http will be redirected to https.
