The new preliminary version of the Opera browser for developers
has a built-in ability to use free VPN. It was made possible by the company’s acquisition of
SurfEasy, a VPN service provider, more than a year ago.
The built-in VPN works, of course, only for data transmitted through the browser. It encrypts your traffic, hides ip, allows you to bypass blocking sites and firewall. This is another convenient service in the browser, except, for example, the Opera Turbo option, which, compressing traffic, also worked as a proxy server.

“Everyone has the right to privacy online, if so desired. By adding unlimited and free VPN to the browser, we made sure that you did not need to install additional programs or extensions from any third parties, ”said the company's senior vice president, Christian Colondra [Krystian Kolondra].
So far, there is a choice of three countries with an output server, the USA, Canada and Germany. After launch into the general access, the number of servers promise to increase.
To get to the desired setting, you need to install the Opera version for developers, go to the Privacy & Security tab and enable the checkbox “Enable VPN”.
