RuTracker will hold a "exercise on civil defense" from blocking December 6
On November 9, the Moscow City Court decided to permanently block the site RuTracker.org in Russia. In response, the site will conduct a “civil defense exercise” to counter the blockage.
RuTracker.org appointed the Civil Defense Teachings on December 6th. During the day from 00:00 to 23:59 the site will be closed to all users from Russia. Users who have not set up a blocking bypass will see a message about the exercises and a crawling instruction.
RuTracker.org encourages other sites threatened with blocking to do the same for Russian users. Details of the action are discussed on the forum . B.A. Music Publishing and S.B.A. Production. The Exmo publishing house entered the case later - in July 2015 it filed separate claims against the sites Flibusta.net, Litmir.me and Rutracker.org at the Moscow City Court , all three sites claimed to be a life block. On November 9, 2015, the court decided to permanently block RuTracker under the Eksmo lawsuit. The sentence should come into force 30 days after the decision.
RuTracker.org was previously called Torrents.ru and has been working since 2004 - after the advent of affordable and unlimited ADSL access. On November 25, 2008, the tracker took the 5th place in the National Voting of the Runet Award 2008. In 2010, the domain changed to rutracker.org because the domain Torrents.ru was suspended by the Ru-Center registrar.
