The FBI is investigating the case of the alleged hacking of personal e-mail director of the CIA
CIA Director John Brennan
The New York Post published on its pages information obtained from an unknown teenage hacker, claiming that on October 12 he had hacked the personal email box of CIA director John Brennan [John Brennan]. If you believe the claims of an unknown hacker, in the letters he found various secret information.
It turned out that the director of the CIA used his personal mailbox on the AOL service for other purposes. His SF-86 application was stored there on 47 pages for access to top-secret information, lists of social security card numbers and personal data of a dozen top officials from the intelligence directorate, a government letter about the use of torture during interrogation of terrorists and other interesting information .

The hacker himself made contact with the newspaper, and in several telephone conversations told them all of the above. He claims that he is 13 years old, he is in high school, has been entertained by burglary as part of the hacker group Crackas With Attitude, and was inspired by the rejection of US foreign policy and the desire to free Palestine.
Hacking was carried out in several stages . At first, hackers applied social engineering techniques. One of them pretended to be an employee of the mobile operator Verizon, and lured the personal data of the scout from another employee of the company under the pretext of a temporary lack of access to the database. This data included the account number, 4-digit PIN, spare mobile phone number, email address and the last 4 digits of the credit card.
Then the crackers managed to change the password to the mailbox on the AOL service. One of them called in support of the provider, explained that he had lost the password, and asked to change it to another. Answers to all questions asked for security purposes were contained in personal data obtained by hackers.
The hackers had the audacity to not only read emails and post the most interesting information on Twitter (the _CWA_ account is now blocked), but then call the hack victim on a mobile phone to report this fact.
True, some analysts believe that what is happening is only the result of the struggle of the influential clans of the American political elite, "hawks" and "pigeons" (supporters of a hard-aggressive and soft-loving foreign policy); the proceedings now taking place are the “overflow” of the director of the CIA by agents from the clan of opponents. A 13-year-old hacker, fighting for the liberation of Palestine - easy trolling "for those who are in the subject."
The CIA, in response to press inquiries, only noted: “We are aware of the information that has appeared in various publications and passed it on to the appropriate authorities.”
