The hacker himself made contact with the newspaper, and in several telephone conversations told them all of the above. He claims that he is 13 years old, he is in high school, has been entertained by burglary as part of the hacker group Crackas With Attitude, and was inspired by the rejection of US foreign policy and the desire to free Palestine.

Hacking was carried out in several stages . At first, hackers applied social engineering techniques. One of them pretended to be an employee of the mobile operator Verizon, and lured the personal data of the scout from another employee of the company under the pretext of a temporary lack of access to the database. Then the crackers managed to change the password to the mailbox on the AOL service.
