The teenager who hired hackers to attack the school network laid networks of fifty county schools

A 17-year-old high school student in Idaho is arrested and is likely to be charged with a felony. In the case of a conviction, the student will serve six months in custody for organizing DDoS attacks on the state’s largest school district. The attack laid school services, including online lessons and administrative programs for the calculation of salaries.

In the United States in recent years there have been several attacks on schools. The FBI is investigating a similar case in Virginia that occurred a few months ago, and last year a DDoS attack prevented us from conducting citywide testing in Kansas. So far, the authorities have not identified any of the perpetrators of these events.

A seventeen-year-old schoolboy hired people to organize an attack on school services. As a result, the attackers put networks of fifty schools. Test scores, salary data and other data have been lost. The level of organization of the attack was low, so this time the law enforcement authorities calculated the IP addresses of the attackers and found a schoolboy among them.

For the students themselves, the attack on the school has become an unpleasant event: they will have to undergo more than one test again. And the parents of the culprit will recover financial losses.

The target of the attack was not money or data. Someone wanted not to take exams.
