Scammers have
come up with a new way to steal data from your bank card that you use at an ATM. Instead of trying to attach a skimmer to the ATM itself, they place it in the door that blocks access to the room with the ATMs. These doors can be opened with a card outside the bank hours. The fraudsters install a skimmer on the door, and when opening the door, it reads the necessary information from the magnetic strip. A video camera that removes a set of pin-code, as usually located in the area of the ATM.

Fraudsters once again remind us of the need to constantly be vigilant. We are already accustomed to checking ATMs for the presence of skimmers (trying not to think about the fact that skimmers are now
placed inside the slot of the card collector ) and screen the pin-code keyboard with your hand. We already know that we should avoid
suspicious ATMs . But now the threat lurked in a simple door.

Fortunately, there is an easy way to protect yourself from such fraud. Door locks for cards do not differ in intelligence, and they can be opened with any card that has a magnetic strip - be it a pass from a fitness club or a discount card from a cafe. Next time try to find such a card to open the door to ATMs, and fool the fraudsters.
