The “Ulzr1z” group, which calls itself “information security specialists,” carried out the deface of several sites at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, linking its action to the anniversary of the death of Aaron Schwarz, who committed
suicide on January 11, 2013, being under judicial investigation for allegedly illegal access to documents online -library.
The attack affected sites on one of the MIT domains that are responsible for hosting courses taught at the institute, and was not cruelly destructive - hacktivists changed the text of the home page of each site to this:

Hacked!
As a confirmation of their participation in this, Ulzr1z attached a screenshot of Wordpress admin panel to their tweet, to which they got access.
Immediately after the death of Aaron Schwarz, MTI rector Rafael Reif remarked about him: "I hate to think that MIT was involved in any events that ended in tragedy." However, due to the fact that Aaron Schwartz left the laptop on the MIT network, for which illegal documents were downloaded, hacktivists believe that the institute’s leadership was tacitly cooperating with the prosecution on the prosecution, which actually led to the death of Schwartz. Indirectly, Aaron’s father also confirmed this indirectly, saying at the funeral that “He [Aaron Schwartz] was killed by the government, and MIT betrayed all of its basic principles.”
Hacking the MIT sites on the anniversary of this sad event will probably become, if it has not already become, a peculiar tradition - last year an action similar to Ulzr1z was
noted by the more well-known Anonymous.
