Current and future innovations of the public services portal

Alexei Kozyrev, Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Communications, told about the initiatives of the authorities to promote Internet services for the population of Russia. There are many ideas, and they will be implemented through the portal of public services, which is increasingly popular among Russians. Of the projects listed below, some will appear in the near future, and some in more promising plans.

1. Email box for registered letters . "Mail of Russia" will deliver there not only registered letters with fines, but also other types of registered letters. To implement this mechanism, the Rules for the provision of postal services have already been changed: Russian Post will convert paper letters into electronic form. The state e-mail system in the “personal account” of a citizen was implemented in 2015: everyone who is registered on the portal has a mailbox to which the authorities send legally significant messages.

2. A single identification number of a citizen who does not change when a passport is replaced. The project has yet to be discussed at a government commission.

3. Recognition of bank details on the payment using a smartphone (reading a barcode or QR code) - and payment details immediately go to the Unified portal of public services, where you can pay for them. The technology will simplify including the payment of taxes.

4. Creating a single platform for regional and federal portals of public services . Each service should be implemented as a widget, so that the widget from the regional portal is placed on the federal one and vice versa. A single point of entry is created for the user and the costs of the regional centers to develop their portals are reduced thanks to the widget catalog.

5. Organization of school competitions for children is an effective method of promoting the portal of public services. “Children are often more experienced users of modern technologies than their parents. They can already tell their parents how to use the public services portal. In schools where such a competition is held, all students encourage their parents to register on the portal, pay fines, taxes and make reports on this topic. The best receive prizes.

Statistics show that the portal of public services is increasingly popular among citizens. I wonder if IT people use this advanced way to communicate with e-government?
