Pochta Rossii delivered the FSB request to the Telegram office late

On Geektimes, relatively recently , the news was published that the world court of the judicial sector of 383 Meshchansky district of Moscow fined Telegram Messenger LLP 800 thousand rubles. The reason is the company's refusal to execute a request from the Federal Security Service for information to decrypt messages from users of the system.

Today it became known that the “Russian Post” is at least partially to blame for the delayed Telegram reaction. The postal company did not meet the deadlines for the delivery of the notice from the FSB. If the deadlines were met, then the messenger developers would have time to respond to the notification.

Of course, Pavel Durov would hardly have agreed to provide the data of the Telegram users of the FSB, but probably the lawyers of the company would have invented something.

“On July 12, the FSB asked Telegram to send a correspondence of users until July 19. But the Post of Russia delivered the letter only on July 21. And he does not know the reason, ”wrote Telegram lawyer Pavel Chikov in his Telegram channel.

Interestingly, almost simultaneously with this news , information appeared that Pochta Rossii plans to reduce the delivery time of its parcels to 36 hours within five years.

“We set ourselves the task of ensuring the consumer receives a parcel within 36 hours. I believe that we could achieve such a result in the next five-year period of our strategy, ”said Nikolay Podguzov, general director of the postal operator.

The head of the service also noted that the company needs to change at least in order to follow the main trends in the development of online commerce. This area is becoming more active, the volume of online commerce is growing, which means that the number of packages is increasing. In Russia, about seven parcels per consumer per year. In developed countries, this figure is about 30 parcels per person per year.

In order to shorten the delivery time to 36 hours, Russian Post requires
“Completely renovate the delivery infrastructure,” Podguzov noted.
“We are talking about the construction of powerful logistics postal centers, main postal centers and, of course, we need to think about the more effective organization of the so-called“ last mile ”- the delivery of goods from the post office to the consumer itself,” he added.

Now "Mail Russia" refutes the violation of the timing of delivery of mail.
