Roskomnadzor calls rumored Telegram requirements, although media and users claim the opposite

In a statement for RNS, Telegram representatives emphasize that not a single government or any special service had previously received and would not receive a single bit of information from the messenger in the future. Telegram says that both secret and cloud chats are encrypted. At the same time, the cryptographic keys are divided into several parts and physically separated in different jurisdictions, so cooperation at the level of several states will be required in order to force Telegram to issue data.

According to Vedomosti, in a letter, Roskomnadzor warns Telegram about the possibility of blocking for the refusal to provide data for registration as ARI.
