The focal point of the national domain of the Internet is planning to prohibit the re-registration of national domains blocked for life resources. Changes in the rules for registering domain names in .ru and .rf zones are ready, they will be accepted by the end of the summer of 2016, Izvestia writes .

“First of all, it is necessary to protect users. If the owner does not renew the registration, the domain will be released and will be available to those who wish. And the next one, who registers it, will receive the right of administrator, but the site at this address will not be accessible to residents of Russia, ”said Korotsevich’s director, Andrei Vorobiev.
If you add a domain to the stop list, the current owner can continue to pay for domain registration. However, it will not be possible to change the owner. If the domain is not renewed, it will be de-divided and will not be available for registration.
Other changes are planned. In particular, in the near future Roskomnadzor will receive the right to split domains in the national zone. This measure will primarily apply to the domains on which websites selling drugs or distributing extremist content are located.
“Division of domain names is an effective measure to combat illegal resources. We intend to apply this measure primarily to the sites on which there is a promotion of drug use or their sale or through which extremist materials are distributed. There are about 800 of these sites, ”said Vadim Ampelonsky, the official representative of Roskomnadzor.
