The head of the department also requires the regulation of “big data” and encrypted traffic.
Today, Roskomnadzor, in the person of its head, Alexander Zharov, announced a new initiative: the creation of a regulatory framework for regulating the mobile Internet segment, Interfax reports. “The wide spread of mobile devices requires the formation of uniform rules for the use of mobile operating systems. And mobile applications should be approached (with the requirements) as sites, ”said Zharov.
The head of Roskomnadzor explains the need to regulate the mobile Internet segment by the fact that the segment is constantly expanding, and users leave information about themselves in the mobile Internet. Zharov believes that such information can be used, for example, by large international companies and cybercriminals.
He also noted that in Russia the share of encrypted traffic is quite large, therefore, the development of a regulatory framework to regulate the use of this type of data is required. Most likely, according to a source familiar with the situation, the development of such a base will be moved to 2017-2018.

Alexander Zharov argues that in the coming years, regulatory and other areas will be required - BigData. “Personal data is part of the big data that is already processed by international corporations. I think that we will not manage without legislative regulation in this area in the coming years, ”said the head of Roskomnadzor.
